Motorcoach

The classic charter bus: 40–45 feet long with reclining seats, a restroom, air conditioning and big luggage bays. Many newer coaches add Wi-Fi, outlets and seat belts. Find them under charter bus companies.

Minibus & shuttle

Shorter buses built on a truck chassis. Easy to park at hotels and venues, and a good fit for 20–35 people on short trips. Find them under limo & minibus companies.

School bus

The cheapest way to move a group locally. Many private school bus contractors also rent buses for events. Browse school bus companies.

Party bus & limo

Built for the ride itself: lounge seating, lights and sound. Check seat belts and inspection records, and ask about cleaning fees.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a coach and a bus?

A motorcoach is built for long trips: high reclining seats, under-floor luggage bays, a restroom and often Wi-Fi and outlets. A transit or school bus has a lower floor, simpler seats and little luggage space.

Can adults ride a school bus?

Yes. School buses are often rented for adult groups on short local trips. Bench seats are sized for children, so plan for about two adults per seat instead of three.

Which vehicle is best for a wedding?

For guest shuttles, a minibus or motorcoach depending on headcount. For the wedding party, a stretch limo or party bus.
